Technology Plan Reminders:
- Plans must be submitted for tentative review by Friday April 17th, 2009
- Plans must be submitted along with the core criteria checklist
- The plan should cover no more than three years, but may be fewer than three
Required elements:
- Goals and realistic strategy for using telecommunications and information technology
- Goals and strategies should be broken down by year
- Explain how goals are related to student achievement
- Include internet safety information, AUP, CIPA compliance
- Professional development strategy
- Include parent, staff, teacher training
- An assessment (inventory) of telecommunication services, hardware, software, and other services needed
- Include information on email archiving, financial systems, network schematics, etc.
- Budget resources
- Must include a three year budget
- Include grants and e-rate funds
- Must show a line item for professional development
- Ongoing evaluation process
- Explain monitoring process and how new developments and opportunities will be addressed
- Explain how evaluation process is linked to student achievement
